It has been an interesting 2 weeks. First a hurricane that knocks out our electric for nearly a week and now more rain than we can handle. Amidst the fallen trees, flooded basements and general clean up that continues I was reminded this morning in James 2:14-17 of the opportunity to "show" or Faith to our neighbors in action. Don't miss the chance to assist a neighbor and show them a living Faith!
While mowing the lawn this week I quickly noticed about 20+ swallows buzzing around me, some getting very close to my straw hat. I was reminded of Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" My mowing had provided them with a literal buffet of bugs. I think a few actually looked me in the eye as they swooped by. Isn't creation cool.
